With 2 gold and 1 bronze medal, they sound in Roeselare and Steenhuffel. Earlier this month, both breweries also won prizes at the European Beer Star 2021 in Nuremberg, where the jury awarded Rodenbach Vintage with gold, bronze went to Palm. At the Brussels Beer Challenge 2021, the medal goes to Rodenbach Grand cru (gold), Rodenbach Caractère Rouge (bronze) and Steenbrugge Dubbel Bruin (gold).
For three days, a panel of 75 internationally renowned beer connoisseurs tasted 1800 beers from all over the world. The participating beers were subdivided into categories, based on origin, type and style and then considered and weighed. At the end of the three tasting days, the best beers in each category were awarded a gold, silver or bronze award.

Rodenbach prize championThe Rodenbach brewery was awarded for the first time at the World Exhibition in Antwerp in 1894 with Le Diplôme the Medaille D'Or. In 2019, the milestone of 100 awards was exceeded, “From now on we can talk about 'probably the most awarded beer in the world' master-brewer Rudi Ghequire then told HLN. Today, just like that, there are 147 awards on the wall of fame at the Brewery in Roeselare, a real appreciation for the brewery that is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year.
